Lenny Conundrum - Round #414

The Neopian Runners Club held a race last Thursday (all proceeds to benefit the PPL). Unfortunately, there's been a bit of a mix up with the results. All the race officials know is that the runner who came in three places in front of the runner who finished last came in two places ahead of the runner who came in seventh. (They're runners, not record keepers.)
How many finished the race? Enter an integer.

    I got eight, by drawing a quick diagram.
    It says that the one who finished three placed in front of last place...

    Last ___ ___ X

    ...was two places in front of the one who finished Seventh.

    Last 7th ___ x

    Therefore, the 7th runner was directly in front of the last runner, making the last runner 8th. So the answer is 8.

    same here. i refreshed the moment it was released, too bad i double-triple-quadruple-wtv-checked the anwser (spending like, 2 minutes -.-), coz last LC i knew the anwser but i typed the anwser wrong. i think i'll get bronze.

    I completely agree with Brooke. The diagram I used was exactly the same. I answered as soon as it came out. If I don't get in top 250, something must be wrong.

    Usually, if you just get the numerical number it should be fine. They don't really care about the extra stuff.

    Wow, Lenny Conundrum has gotten ridiculously easy lately, the last 3 puzzles have been way too easy to solve. I hope the next one will be a difficult math problem or something similar, that can't be solved by a 10-year old, in 2 minutes -.-
