This allows you to communicate between each other much more efficiently.
Everything from emailing answers to friends, thumbs up for good comments, thumbs down for bad comments, and allowing each poster to use a standardized username.

I personally do not have any issue with them, but I understand just looking at the comments they sometimes can get out of hand.
