Lenny Conundrum - Round #

I am made like that which twinkles in the night

And keeps the Space Faerie's spirit bright;

I have as many points as a compass rose

And may harbor words, though no one knows

If there be any, for I am as clean as snow laid new;

My strength comes in bending, not from glue.

They say the pen is mightier than the sword

But without me, the pen is bored.

    Paper, maybe? I didnt understand first 2 verses, but...
    Compass rose has 4 points... A paper has 4 'sides'/corners
    Paper harbors words...
    Paper is clean (white) as snow...
    Paper's strenght comes from bending - as many times as u bend a paper, harder it comes to be divided...
    And the last two verses are standables.

      I originally thought that, but changed my answer to diary.

      A compass rose generally has 8 points. A diary has 8 corners. All the other stuff applies.

      Plus if you look up Space Faerie's Neopedia entry, it's her making diary entries.

      But that's just what I thought.

      but does it have to be a neopets item? or could the answer just include anything related to the riddle?

    Golly, I don't know. A compass rose can have 4, 8, 16, or 32 points.

    Well if we break it down a bit:
    that which twinkles in the night And keeps the Space Faerie's spirit bright = stars
    as many points as a compass rose = 4,8,16 or 32 points
    harbor (verb) = keep, esp. secretly
    as clean as snow laid new = clean and white
    bending = folding
    so:
    I am made like stars
    I have 4,8,16 or 32 points
    I am clean and white
    I may keep words
    but nobody knows if there are any
    because I am clean and white
    my strength comes from folding, not from glue
    then the bit about the pen

    I say envelope.

    Look an a regular envelope, it is probably made by taking a squarish piece of paper and folding the corners in to the center - 4 or 8 points depending on what you consider a point
    There may be words on the paper inside, but if the envelope is blank, nobody would know
    and that mighty pen is of little use if you don't mail your letter
