Lenny Conundrum - Round #417

When not attempting to escape from the spooky mansion of a crazed anagram lover, Gilly enjoys sane, relaxing word puzzles. She asked a friend for a word, and since it rarely happens in the Haunted Woods, the word chosen was SNOWING. Gilly deleted the letter N to form the word SOWING. She kept deleting one letter at a time, always creating a new word, until only one letter was left, and that was also a word.

In what order did Gilly delete the letters? Enter ONLY the letters removed, in order, without spaces.

  8. the letters you take away are supposed to form a word. none of the guesses so far do that

  9. 'I' is a word.

  10. The puzzle is tricky. The puzzle did mention "left" once,
but in context it didn't have anything to do with the puzzle.. yet it is sorta easy.

The two answers could be win or sin.
    I chose win.

  11. the letters removed in order you take them away. the way i look at it is when you take the letters away they should form a word too. the word would start with an N.

  12. You guys are over thinking it. The letters taken out don't have to make a word. It's just saying that the letter remaining at the end is also a word.

  13. How do you know which letters to post when there is more than one answer?

  21. Answer: NOWGSN

    SNOWING
    SOWING -TAKE OUT N
    SWING - TAKE OUT O
    SING - TAKE OUT W
    SIN - TAKE OUT G
    IN - TAKE OUT S
    I - TAKE OUT N

The letters removed form the word NOWGSN. The last letter "I" is a a word itself so I think my answer makes sense.

  27. THE ANSWER IS NOWGSN
THE LETTERS REMOVED DO NOT HAVE TO CREATE A WORD

    ReplyDelete
  28. I really don't think you HAVE to put the N at the start, seeing as TNT already put the word "sowing" into the question, so you didn't have to figure out that one for yourself...

    ReplyDelete
  29. Do you have to add the I at the end?

    ReplyDelete
  30. If we add i and rearrange them we get the word snowing

    ReplyDelete
  31. If we add i and rearrange them we get the word snowing

  36. I included the I, like a stupid person, and didn't put the first letter that was deleted to create SOWING. However, I agree with the general consensus on the anagrams forming Snowing, Owing, Swing, Sing, Sin, In, I. The other one is creative and will surely be rewarded too... in fact, they might reward the creative one and say that theirs happened to be the one Gilly chose. :/
