Lenny Conundrum - Round #425

Charlie the Chia has spent a better part of the year running away from a scary Lupe named Boris.



One day, Boris told Charlie, "I'm really tired of chasing you, so here is a riddle. If you answer correctly, I won't chase you any longer. Here it is: The day before yesterday, I was 3 years old, and next year I will be 6. You might think I am fibbing but this is actually true out of one day in a year. What day is my birthday?"



Providing that Boris doesn't change his mind and eat Charlie for breakfast anyway, what is Boris the Lupe's birthday?

    Today is 1. The day before yesterday (30) i was 3. Today im 4. This year (31) i'll be 5. Next year (31) i'll be 6.

    He was born on December 31.
    He was 3 years old (the day before yesterday: December 30)
    He turned 4 yesterday (December 31)
    It's January the first (today): He turns 5 this year.
    Next year: 6 years old

    This is right yeah?

    Write his ages on a line like so:
    3, 4, 5, 6
    Obviously, he is 4 now because he was only 3 a few days ago.
    This year however he is TURNING 5 because he is turning 6 next year.
    So today is a new year from yesterday. Today in New Years Day!
    That means if 2 days ago he was 3, he turned 4 yesterday the day before New Years.
    That is his birthday.

    Lol whoever thinks it was Feburary 29th is dumb. How on Earth does that even get close to working with the situation given? The answer was December 31st, (or the month of celebrating lol.)
